Ocean Career: Rare Associate, Fish Forever Strategy & Operations

Fish Forever, a global initiative within Rare that empowers communities to restore fisheries, is searching for an enthusiastic Associate to join their Program Operations team. You will be the backbone of their team, providing critical administrative, operational, and project support to propel our mission forward.

What you'll do:

  • Schedule and manage virtual meetings across multiple time zones, ensuring seamless communication for our global teams.
  • Assist with travel arrangements for program staff, coordinating logistics and itineraries.
  • Support the contracting process, from drafting sub-contracts to managing approvals and document organization.
  • Play a key role in onboarding new staff, creating a smooth and informative experience.
  • Assist our team in compiling and analyzing data to measure program success and meet donor reporting requirements.
  • Track key metrics and ensure data accuracy in our internal systems.
  • Manage timesheets and expense reports for the program, keeping everything on track.
  • Provide administrative support on special projects, helping the VP execute strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct research, analyze information, and draft communications to support program activities.
  • Foster collaboration across departments (Program, Finance, Development) to ensure program efficiency.

What you bring:

  • Two years of experience providing administrative and operational support, with a clear understanding of how to work successfully in a global organization.
  • Initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to navigate sensitive situations and build positive working relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Smartsheet. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong Research and communication skills.
  • A passion for conservation and a desire to contribute to a sustainable future.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across time zones.
  • A bachelor's degree in business/public administration, project management, conservation, or a related field (preferred).
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, or experience living overseas (a plus).
