The Technical Writer will be responsible to document technical information to non-technical audiences in an organized and concise manner. The successful candidate will bring a uniform tone to internal and external documentation to ensure a clear and consistent corporate message.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain CRM and IMS systems
- Standardize proposals, project plans, and reports, maintaining and publishing document templates that adhere to corporate guidelines
- Assist in the writing/development of proposals, project plans, and reports
- Provide as-needed proofreading and editing support
- Develop text for use in news releases, marketing brochures, advertisements, etc.
- Provide local project management support
- Document tasks to supplement standard operating procedures and work instructions as needed
- Draft how-to guides and instruction manuals
- Review existing documents for accuracy and applicability and revise accordingly
Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Technical Writing, English, &/or Industrial Technology/Engineering preferred
- Have 3 or more years of relevant work experience in procedure writing and document control
- Exceptional verbal / written communication and grammatical skills
- Ability to work in a shop and field environment to collect data and pictures; and work in an office environment on a computer writing and creating the documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; experience in Adobe InDesign
- SharePoint and/or other file storage and sharing systems
- Experience with video and related video editing programs preferred
