Intern is expected to commit to a 3+ month internship and work on site ~20 hours per week, plus occasional evenings, or weekends, and will receive a monthly stipend of $1,000. We are interested in all qualified candidates but can only consider those candidates who have valid authorization to work in the United States.
Intern must be:
- enthusiastic about the ocean, science communication and STEM education
- hard working with a positive, can-do attitude
- organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
- an excellent communicator
- a team player who values team success as much as their own
- honest and transparent
- ready to learn, be challenged and push themselves outside their comfort zones
- fluent in English
- able to dedicate a minimum of 3 months and 20 hours/week to the internship, including the occasional evening or weekend
- able to pass Level 2 Background Check and drug screening
- legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, can provide government issued ID and complete IRS Form W-9
