Hendrik Veder Group Strengthens Market Position Following a Successful Q3

Specialist providers of steel wire and fibre rope solutions, products, and services, Hendrik Veder Group is aiming to round the year with a positive Q4, following Q3 wins with work for the year accumulating to £4.2M for large-scale projects that exceed £50,000 in value.

With a legacy dating back to 1800, Hendrik Veder Group has over 200 years of experience in towing, mooring, and lifting. With operations in the Netherlands, Norway, and the UK, the firm are leaders in its field for offering sustainable and innovative steel wire and fibre rope products and solutions to the global offshore and maritime industries.

Contributing to the success of Q3 the Group renewed five high-profile agreements for its pipe sling business, and secured new business in West Africa, Baku and America. Throughout the period, Hendrik Veder continued to develop ongoing projects with existing and historic clients, including a long-term project in Singapore and the company has also completed work for the ROV and winch markets.

Setting itself aside within its market, in 2019 the group introduced a sustainable solution completing the lifecycle of its fibre ropes by developing a process to recycle them into raw materials. This solution not only offers a circular and sustainable solution, but it offers clients a cost-effective solution to disposing of fibre rope once it has served its purpose.

Managing Director for Hendrik Veder UK Ltd, Bertwin Zonneveld, said: “I am delighted with the success of the year so far and it is fantastic to see the loyalty of clients and the securing of new clients in new regions by our dedicated team. Despite such a successful quarter, there hasn’t been much time to stop as we have already turned our focus to building on that success for closing the year. Sustainability is a big message for the business moving forward and we are working extremely hard to offer solutions to help feed into our client's ESG strategies, so it will be exciting to see where this can take us in 2023.”
