OceanWise’s Shane Djokey Awarded Apprenticeship Distinction

OceanWise’s Shane Djokey, who started with the team in September 2020 (slap bang in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic!) has been awarded a distinction in his apprenticeship as ‘Software Development Technician’.

Shane, pictured (centre) above, has been working with our Technical team under the guidance and support of Managing Director Caroline Levey and line manager Steve Bourne, as an Information Systems apprentice.

“Shane’s distinction result has been great news for the team. His hard work and determination has allowed him to develop some innovative systems during his time with us. Shane overcame the extra challenges that the covid-19 restrictions brought and applied himself throughout. We are really pleased for him and look forward to seeing how his new skills and enigmatic personality will continue to push his career forward.” Steve Bourne, Information Systems Developer OceanWise.

“OceanWise is dedicated to supporting the apprenticeship scheme as we believe that not only does it bring emerging talent into the business, it also offers young people the chance to develop their skills and progress quickly whilst gaining qualifications. The whole team are proud of Shane for his recent achievement and look forward to seeing him continue to apply his passion and develop his skills in this important field” Caroline Levey, Managing Director OceanWise
