Ultraguard Form New Strategic Partnership

Ultraguard Antifouling’s parent company, Marine Growth Prevention Specialists Ltd (MGPS), has entered into a new strategic partnership with Allset Industries A/S of Esbjerg in Denmark.

MGPS Managing Director Sharon Owens and Allset’s CEO Jesper Jacobsen put pen to paper at Ultraguard’s Ayrshire offices just before Christmas.

The partnership will see the formation of a new joint venture called Ultraguard EU A/S which will operate from Esbjerg.

Allset is already one of Ultraguard Antifouling’s main distributors and provides Ultraguard products as well as installation and aftersales services in several EU and Asia Pacific countries. Ultraguard EU A/S will give Ultraguard a base within the EU with a view to improving delivery times and services to EU customers whilst allowing Allset to operate within the Ultraguard stable, allowing them to offer customers an OES relationship.

Ultraguard EU will hold a significant level of both Ultraguard systems and accessories in stock in Denmark. This will reduce administration and lead times for EU customers by smoothing out customs issues and improving delivery times by eliminating delays.

Sharon Owens, Ultraguard’s Managing Director, said, “we are always looking at ways we can improve the service we offer customers, and developing our already great relationship with Allset to give us a foothold on the Continent just makes sense.”

Jesper Jacobsen, Allset CEO, said, “with an already strong business relationship and being a distributor of Ultraguard, we are very excited to announce our Joint Venture together. This will benefit Ultraguard, Allset, and most importantly, our customers.”
