Seaworthy Collective Joins the 1000 Ocean Startups Coalition

Seaworthy Collective (SC), a Miami-based BlueTech startup community and venture studio empowering current and aspiring entrepreneurs in regenerative ocean and climate impact, has joined the 1000 Ocean Startups coalition to accelerate ocean impact innovation.

The 1000 Ocean Startups coalition is comprised of a global ecosystem of incubators, accelerators, competitions, matching platforms, and VCs supporting startups for ocean impact. Vladimir Ryabinin, Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO; Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway; Sir Richard Branson; and William Trubridge, Freediving World Champion, are leading the initiative.

1000 Ocean Startups’ objective is to scale at least 1000 transformative startups by the end of the Ocean Decade to restore ocean health and achieve the SDG14.

“Joining the 1000 Ocean Startups coalition cements Seaworthy Collective’s and Miami’s place on the global ocean innovation (BlueTech) map,” said Daniel Kleinman, Seaworthy Collective’s Founder and CEO. “The spirit of collaboration we’ve built is matched by other members of the coalition as we all work to drive tangible impact and innovation in parallel. Just another sign that South Florida and Miami were always meant to be a BlueTech hub!”

Seaworthy Collective will be discussing this exciting news on the website early next week. Stay tuned to learn more about what this means for the organization and Miami’s BlueTech hub.
