Job Posting: Application Engineer

Ocean Sonics Ltd. is a growing, innovative, Ocean Technology company that designs and manufactures Smart Hydrophones. They require an Application Engineer who can understand and provide the best technical solutions for their customer’s requests from product integration to creating new and innovative solutions. They require someone who can earn the customer’s trust while solving their technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • System integration of Ocean Sonics products as requested by customers
  • Consult with staff engineers to provide the best technical solutions for their customers
  • Bridge the gap between customers and engineers
  • Support sales team with technical requests
  • Complete Request for Proposals, and tenders
  • Timely management of projects through to delivery

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics or Oceanography
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with ocean sensors
  • Ocean Acoustics experience an asset
  • Project and people leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and a strategic outlook

Related Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; languages an asset
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office and cloud-based tools
  • Travel may be involved therefore valid driver license and passport are required.
