About this Role

Forever Oceans is looking for a skilled Project Manager to support the delivery of innovative offshore aquafarms. As a Project Manager you will develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the ocean engineering team and guide the implementation of novel, open-ocean production systems. This will be a cross-functional role with broad responsibilities over ocean-centric domains including naval architecture, mooring systems, and environmental analysis. Successful candidates will have extensive experience executing ocean studies and managing large-scale open-ocean infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate day to day activities related to the development and deployment of ocean infrastructure products.
  • Support large-scale, strategic initiatives with a significant number of dependencies.
  • Help identify new tools, processes, and reporting to help the team scale.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and other key stockholders to identify key requirements and deliver innovative solutions to our international teams.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties and ensure on-time delivery of 3rd party deliverables.
  • Coordinate, execute, and review international surveys and ocean studies.
  • Manage schedule, budget, and key risks across multiple complex projects.
  • Up to 50% international travel.

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar or related role.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of deep water offshore moorings, naval architecture, shipbuilding, construction management, metocean studies.
  • PMP Certification or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work with remote/international teams; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Location: San Diego, CA
