Opportunity: Environmental Resource Permitting Job

Location: Jensen Beach, Florida

Ecological Associates, Inc. (EAI), a multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm, is seeking to fill a full-time, salaried position. For the right candidates, a part-time position will be considered.

EAI is seeking resumes of qualified individuals to prepare environmental resource permitting in support of private and public sector construction projects. The individual selected will interact with a highly experienced team of professionals and will participate in a variety of challenging terrestrial and marine projects.

Job Requirements:
• M.S. degree in the biological sciences with a minimum of two years relevant practical experience or a B.S. degree with four years of experience.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Experience preparing Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) applications.
• Experience preparing Right-of-Way Permit applications.
• Experience preparing local wetland and tree removal permit applications.
• Experience performing mitigation analyses using the Unified Mitigation Assessment Methodology (UMAM).
• Experience conducting wetland delineations.
• Strong familiarity with Florida’s ecosystems.
• Ability to use precision GPS instrumentation.
• Broad practical experience using GIS programs.
• Good understanding of statistical analyses and practical experience utilizing related computer software.
• Good organizational and record keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team setting.
• A high level of communication skills, particularly with external agencies and clients.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
 

Starting Salaries and Benefits:

Starting range from $40,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Generous benefits, including 401k, profit sharing, group health, minimum of 25 paid days off per year, and casual working environment.

Starting Date and Term of Employment:

Selected candidate will be expected to begin work no later than 1 August 2016.
