Duties of the position include leading snorkeling field trips in both inshore and offshore habitats; supervising students in the water; serving as a mate on our Coast Guard inspected vessels; teaching various marine science labs and lessons; and assisting with maintenance of boats, labs and equipment.
The seasonal positions will run from January 4th to August 15th, 2023. Benefits include a stipend of $450/week, paid training, shared onsite housing, some meals, WiFi access, and experience at the helm of our 26 ft vessels. There is a high potential for future employment with our organization. Instructors must have:
- a BA/BS degree;
- enjoy interacting with children and youth;
- experience with in-water supervision, teaching, and boating;
- and have an enthusiastic, outgoing personality.
