You play a key role in ensuring delivery excellence. You support positioning and construction as well as geophysical projects by advising stakeholders on developments, issues and necessary changes. You collaborate with field staff, engineers, and managers to integrate geodetic survey data into planning, design, and construction. Your responsibilities span technical preparations and project delivery, making you a vital contributor from the commercial phase to execution. Current projects include wind farm development in the North Sea and subsea structure installation in ultra-deep waters (1950m) offshore West Africa in the Oil & Gas sector.
This is primarily an office-based role with some travel required. Additionally, you will need to spend approximately 30-45 days per year offshore, depending on operational needs.
Your role:
- You assist with establishing best practices and work instructions, incorporating lessons learned for the control of survey solutions supplied to projects;
- You support the testing, validation, and implementation of new solutions;
- You provide specific survey support onsite or offshore during start-up and execution of projects;
- You liaise with suppliers of survey solutions to ensure timely follow-up of support requests;
- You can assist with the development of training course material and deliver specific training;
- You advise on survey-related matters, such as GNSS, INS, and underwater acoustics;
Your track record:
- You have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in surveying (e.g. Geomatics, Hydrography, or Geodesy) or a related field;
- You possess 1-2 years of experience in a comparable role;
- You are IT/ICT conversant, comfortable working with relevant technologies;
- You have a service-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving abilities;
- You possess excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
