Whilst learning on the job and being mentored by senior colleagues, your initial duties and responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist with workshop preparation, testing and maintenance of survey equipment;
- Help with installation and interfacing equipment for smooth project operation;
- vessel and subsea positioning equipment,
- hydrographic and marine geophysics survey equipment,
- computers and local area networks,
- communications systems;
- Support the team with installation, configuration and operation of hydrographic and marine geophysics survey software packages (training provided);
- Expand your ability with fault-finding and repairs to field-serviceable equipment.
This is an entry level role where after some development time, you will be given opportunities to progress to an offshore role where your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Installation, interfacing and operation of survey equipment on vessels;
- Deck operations for deployment and recovery of survey equipment;
- Installation, configuration and operation of hydrographic and marine geophysics survey software packages;
- Maintenance of accurate logs of operations and survey parameters.

About you
Your commitment to project delivery and working collaboratively in a team will be foundational to being successful in this role. We are looking for someone who:
- Has a qualification in Electronics or relevant apprenticeship, is currently studying or wanting to start studying whilst working;
- Overall technical aptitude, with the ability to solve problems;
- Able to complete an OGUK offshore medical certificate, Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course;
- Willingness to work offshore for periods of time (after receiving suitable training and experience in the workshop environment).
