This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting high-quality offshore geo-data to provide accurate and customized advice to clients on their individual project needs. Your day-to-day duties and focus will include:
- Lead technical teams related to geology or engineering geology in projects, delegate tasks, guide team members, and review calculations and reports for accuracy;
- Take on the role of Project Manager for Marine Consulting Projects;
- Prepare and review technical reports and proposals in a timely, organized and accurate manner;
- Serve as the primary liaison between the project team and the client, handling communications on technical matters;
- Help develop project opportunities and identify markets;
- Write and publish papers, participate in technical development in designated areas and competencies;

This role is part of Fugro’s Marine Consulting team of experts, who provide consultancy services to our clients within the fields of geology, geoscience, geophysics, and geotechnical engineering.

- Site characterization, desktop studies and finite element modeling for various offshore windfarm projects in the Asia Pacific region
- Deep water geohazard assessments
- Geotechnical pipeline design
- Platform foundation design
- Detailed geotechnical interpretative reporting for major offshore energy projects

About You
Your success in securing this role will require:
- Extensive experience (ideally, 8-10 years’) as a consulting Geologist or Geoscientist Engineer within the offshore industry
- Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in geology / engineering geology / geoscience / geophysics or a related discipline
- Be creative and willing to consider new approaches to solving problems
- Good communication skills and ability to perform within interdisciplinary project teams
