Ocean Career: Fugro ROV Supervisor

Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. But we’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. For bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.

The Role

We have several exciting opportunities for experienced ROV Supervisors to join us at Fugro. As an ROV Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the ROV operations with an offshore team, following instructions from the Project Managers. This job is for you if you want to be part of a great team and work for a company that prioritizes safety. You are looking for a role where you will be working offshore for approximately 180 days per year and have previous experience on a variety of projects and ROVs.

While offshore, you may work closely with a team of Surveyors and Engineers to ensure all ROV equipment is functioning effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately. You will communicate regularly with the team onboard the vessel and, when required, with clients.

You will carry out management duties expected offshore, ensure effective communication through toolbox talks so the oncoming shift is fully aware of ongoing tasks, train and assess Pilot Technician Grades and Sub Engineers, organize and manage the team, interface with clients, and ensure Pilot/Technicians perform all tasks in accordance with procedures.

Who we’re looking for

We seek individuals with previous experience as an ROV Supervisor at offshore worksites, a comprehensive understanding of mobilizations, operations, and fault-finding of work-class and eyeball specification ROVs, and a nationally recognized technical or trade qualification and/or appropriate level national vocational qualification in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, or mechanics. The ability to work offshore for prolonged periods is essential.
