Following the expansion of our fleet, we have an exciting opportunity for an Offshore Project Manager as part of our busy Geotechnical department providing overall responsibility for the organization, liaison and control of our geotechnical site investigation projects onboard our geotechnical survey vessels.

Gardline Limited acquire geotechnical data for a broad range of project types, from renewable developments to oil and gas site surveys around the world.

This is a seagoing role, with an expectation of completing circa 200 days offshore per calendar year. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of all operational offshore activities, adherence to contractual and scope of work requirements and safe project execution against agreed technical specifications.
  • Supervision of offshore reporting activities, ensuring prompt and timely provision to the client of all required deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures and policies.
  • Manage and communicate the vessel plans on project execution to both the vessel and office staff.
  • Actively participate in the project debrief / wash-up meeting, before being assigned to the next project.

Qualifications

You can make your mark as an Offshore Project Manager if you have:

  • Enthusiasm, leadership and personal drive.
  • Extensive geotechnical field experience to a senior grade, with proven experience of managing offshore geotechnical operations.
  • Project management experience in a worldwide setting. Formal technical and management qualification would be beneficial.
  • Full valid offshore, medical, safety, survival, fire-fighting and other relevant certification to be able to support operations, advantageous.
  • Team spirit, strong SHEQ values and collaborative work ethic.
