We are seeking a full-time Environmental Data Analyst to support management, analysis, quality assurance, and visualization of marine environmental datasets, and contribute to the continued development of reproducible data pipelines.
Position Summary
As an Environmental Data Analyst at INSPIRE Environmental and part of INSPIRE’s Data Products & Analytics Team, you will support the management, analysis, quality assurance, and visualization of marine environmental datasets spanning benthic, fisheries, and underwater acoustic disciplines. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient, reproducible workflows for processing, analyzing, and visualizing complex environmental datasets, while contributing to technical reports, data deliverables, and interactive spatial data products.
In this role, you will work with a wide variety of environmental data sources, including imagery, video, geospatial data, biological observations, and acoustic datasets. You will support our data pipeline from planning through reporting, including management, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), statistical analysis, visualization, and summarization across multiple projects. The position also offers opportunities to contribute to image-based analysis workflows and the development and application of computer vision and machine learning tools for environmental monitoring and habitat characterization.
While the primary focus of this role is data analysis and scientific interpretation, opportunities for field participation may be available based on project needs and individual interests. Training will be provided as needed. This role will also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical workflows, data standards, automation, and technical capabilities across the organization. It is a position that offers variety, responsibility, and opportunities for professional growth within a well-established and expanding marine science company.
