Duties of the position include leading snorkeling field trips in both inshore and offshore habitats; supervising students in the water; serving as a mate on our Coast Guard inspected vessels; teaching various marine science labs and lessons; and assisting with maintenance of boats, labs and equipment.
The seasonal positions will run from August 28th to December 17th, 2024. Benefits include a stipend of $500/week, paid training, shared staff housing, some meals, WiFi access, and experience at the helm of our vessels. There is a high potential for future employment with our organization. Instructors must have a BA/BS degree; enjoy interacting with children and youth; experience with in-water supervision, teaching, and boating; and have an enthusiastic, outgoing personality.
