Basic qualifications:
Ph.D. in environmental sciences or related discipline, with specialization in biogeochemistry. Experience conducting field work in aquatic ecosystems, measuring low-level concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus, maintaining sondes for measuring dissolved oxygen and pH, analyzing data, and writing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred qualifications:
Specific experience with sampling in West Falmouth Harbor is highly desirable. Other preferred qualifications include: 1) experience supervising undergraduate students; 2) experience leading/coordination research activities; 3) certification for SCUBA diving for research; and 4) experience with the use of side-scan sonar for estimating seagrass biomass.
Special Physical Requirements:
Driver’s license, ability to pilot and maintain small research boat, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required
