We are seeking a contractor based in Taiwan, who can travel for significant amounts of time regionally, nationally, and internationally, up to 3-4 months a year. The person in this position should have a flexible, creative and empathetic outlook; possess independent and entrepreneurial qualities; and have a strong background in fishery issues, seafood businesses, and/or sustainability and environmental issues. The person should also possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with strong independent management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support/maintain relationships with key local stakeholders e.g., fishing companies, cooperatives, local processors, government officials, and other community stakeholders to develop and implement improvement projects.
- Hold stakeholder outreach and co-design meetings to facilitate development of improvement work plans which have buy-in from key supply chain participants.
- Support implementation and manage the improvement projects in line with FIP work plans, ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Conduct research and analysis in collaboration with the program team and science/analytic team.
- Support communications activities and materials development related to O2’s work in Taiwan.
- Other support responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordinating events and meetings, including, logistics; translation and interpretation.
