Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Ph.D. in field related to job duties. Writing skills, as evidenced by at least one (1) peer-reviewed publication
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biology, marine science, or a closely related field. Individuals should have demonstrated abilities to conduct applied molluscan ecological research including experimental design, sample collection, data acquisition, management and analyses, as well as manuscript and report preparation. Experience working in tidal creeks and estuarine environments and knowledge of South Carolina oyster reef ecology preferred. Experience with population and community ecological analyses preferred as well. Publication record required; successful grant funding record preferred. Applicants must also have knowledge of current molluscan research needs and the capability to work independently as well as effectively on teams. Strong communication, leadership, quantitative, organizational, computer, writing and inter-personal skills required. Ability to swim, lift heavy objects and be comfortable working in the field on a year-round basis; ability to safely and effectively operate small (<24ft) vessels in inshore waters preferred.

Salary: $70,090.00 Annually
