Sea Engineering, Inc., is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer-Diver for our Santa Cruz, California office.
Candidate must be willing to travel on short notice and for extended periods of time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise inspection and reporting efforts for underwater and above-water inspections of waterfront/marine structures and bridges.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Underwater inspection of waterfront / marine structures and bridges
- Preparation of reports and other professional documents
- Engineering analysis and design
- Construction drawings and specifications
- Regulatory permitting
- Operation and maintenance of inspection and diving equipment
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, fellow SEI employees, and others for job-related activities
Required Skill/Abilities:
- California PE (Civil or Structural, required)
- ADCI commercial diver (required)
- ADCI Dive supervisor (preferred)
- NHI UW Bridge Inspector (required)
- NHI Bridge Inspection Team Leader (preferred)
- All dive certifications should be current including dive physical, CPR/FA, & Emergency Oxygen
- Must be able to obtain a DBIDS and TWIK card
Education and Experience:
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3–5 years’ experience in waterfront/marine underwater inspection
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50 lbs. or 100 lbs. in tandem
Compensation:
This role’s base pay range is between $85,000–$120,000 annually.
