Job Description
This is an entry- to early-career position within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers focused on underwater optical communications and marine robotics. The role offers hands-on experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of advanced underwater communication systems. In the initial phase, the candidate will develop familiarity with core technologies and contribute to system assembly, integration, and testing. As experience grows, the candidate will take on increasing responsibility in the development of new communication techniques and applications for underwater platforms.
The position requires creativity, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A strong foundation in electrical engineering principles is expected, demonstrated through a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. This position may be filled at the Engineer I or Engineer II level, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Embedded systems development in C++ or Python
- Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes for signal tracing and troubleshooting

- Wiring, cabling and other fields.

Salary range:
- Engineer I: $70,963 – $91,796
- Engineer II: $89,408 – $116,127
