Applicants must submit an essay (maximum of one page) on why they would like to become scuba certified. Applicants should email their essay to [email protected] by 28 February 2017.
The open water scuba training will be conducted at one of their member scuba shops in Connecticut. These shops include Aquasports, Divers Cove, Enfield Scuba, Fintastic, New England Dive Center, Scuba Shack, and Seaview Scuba.
Recipients of these scholarships will be invited to attend the Beneath The Sea Marine Careers Program – a one day educational program recognized internationally as a source of education about the ocean environment. The Marine Careers Program will be held on Friday, March 24 at the Meadowlands Holiday Inn, Secaucus, New Jersey from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Certificate of Attendance will be available.
