OSI Completes Seabed Characterization Projects

Projects encompassed geophysical and geotechnical surveys in the Gulf of Mexico and the Western Atlantic

Ocean Specialists Inc. (OSI), is pleased to announce the completion of a series of seabed characterization projects that involved geophysical and geotechnical surveys at selected locations in the Gulf of Mexico and Western Atlantic. OSI incorporated the survey resources of its sister company, CSA Ocean Sciences, Inc. (CSAOS), mobilizing a total of three separate missions under rapid planning and mobilization conditions. The Operations involved a 150ft DP-1 class vessel based in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as electronic seabed classification with the 8.5m purpose-built CSA Surveyor in the Atlantic locations.

“OSI takes pride in our ability to plan and execute solutions to marine challenges worldwide – with a focus on safety and quality in execution. The unique requirements of this program drew on our engineering, planning and operational capabilities which combined with the breadth of the CSAOS equipment and services for a winning solution,” stated Dave Willoughby, Managing Director of Operations for OSI.
