Opportunity: Biological Science Administrator for National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Director in the Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO), Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS), Neural Systems Cluster (NSC), Arlington, VA. The salary range for this position is $107,325.00 to $167,252.00 per year.

The NSC supports research on the basic mechanisms underlying functions of the nervous system and its interactions with the physical and social environments. The Cluster focuses on the use of comparative species approaches to better understand how organisms perceive their environment, transduce that information in the nervous system and respond appropriately. Research supported by the NSC span multiple levels of analysis ranging from the molecular and cellular to the complex behavioral aspects of organisms functioning in their natural environments. It is expected that permanent Program Directors will participate in all activities of the Cluster. However, this position is specifically to recruit for the Modulation program area within the NSC.
