Ocean Career: Fugro Geophysical Survey Proposal Manager

As a Proposal Manager you develop proposals and cost estimations for our Marine Geophysical Survey service line. In this role you support the commercial team in Nootdorp and the regional marine site characterization commercial group. You contribute to and are part of client meetings, business development activities, contract negotiation and bid strategy.

Your role

  • You develop proposals, cost estimations and tender submissions mainly related to geophysical survey activities, in accordance with relevant processes and procedures, and you ensure proposals are produced on time and to the highest quality;
  • You understand and manage HSSE, financial, contractual and technical risk;
  • You liaise with the internal commercial and business development staff and technical and operational teams to assist in the preparation of winning proposals, and ensure that these are aligned with the wider Fugro strategy and with the proposal requirements;
  • You liaise with clients on a regular basis to build sound business relationships and you represent Fugro at client meetings for proposal clarification and contract negotiations;
  • You provide hand-over briefings and onward commercial guidance to the project management team;
  • You maintain the CRM systems and keep KPI monitoring tools up to date;
  • You contribute to Fugro marketing strategy and assist in marketing of company activities.

Your track record

  • You have a BSc. degree in a Business/Science related discipline or previous working experience in a similar role or have had an offshore Geophysical Survey career;
  • You have substantial knowledge of the Marine/Oil & Gas/Renewable Energy industries and of Marine Geophysical activities and relevant technical disciplines, such as multibeam echo sounder, side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, UHR seismic and magnetometer/gradiometer/UXO;
  • You are experienced with contract review, project management and/or project finance and you are able to deal with deadlines and at times high workloads;
  • You anticipate problems, ensure early intervention, are in the possession of excellent influencing and negotiation skills and strive for positive outcomes;
  • You enjoy working in a team and have good communication skills in English (and/or Dutch) (verbal and written).
