This is an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing team at the cutting-edge intersection of big data services and autonomous hardware. You will be part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team that delivers high impact for humanity and future generations.
The Role
Saildrone’s autonomous surface vehicles operate for unprecedented periods of time in the most unforgiving environments on the planet. From inside of hurricanes to the frigid waters of the Arctic, they endure immense stresses. To ensure the drones we subject to these conditions work as intended, we must execute assembly and service operations with a high degree of rigor. To achieve this rigor, we must plan and prepare to execute field operations with diligence. We must develop the most detailed scope of work possible for each assembly or service event. As Saildrone’s Project Coordinator it will be your responsibility to set conditions for the success of Saildrone’s field teams by developing and documenting these field operation plans.
You will collaborate with production and maritime operations teams as you develop requirements to execute field assembly and service events. You will apply your unwavering attention-to-detail and knowledge of the platform to ensure our technicians have the scope of work, tools, parts, and support to be effective in the field. You will ensure our operations plans are thoroughly documented and transacted in the relevant digital systems to generate data necessary to run our business.
Responsibilities
- Set up Saildrone’s Assembly & Service team for success by creating service plans, writing work and repair orders, determining what parts are necessary to execute those plans, and engaging with Technical Operations and other teams to ensure those parts are the correct revisions.

- Maintain accuracy of our ERP and Fleet Management systems.

- Calm under pressure with an instinct towards positive collaboration and teamwork, despite dynamic and ever-changing conditions.
- Professionally fulfilled by enabling the success of others.
- Insatiable desire to learn more about the parts and configuration nuances that constitute a complex technical system.

- Demonstrated ability to develop a detailed understanding of the physical parts and configuration nuances of a complex system.
- Possess an intuitive sense of priority and act on it to ensure focus and energy are allocated to the most important things.
