Opportunity: Development Manager, Restore America’s Estuaries

Location: Arlington, VA

Restore America’s Estuaries is seeking an experienced, highly self-motivated, and successful fundraiser to lead and grow relationships with strategic partners.

This is an exciting position that is responsible for creating and implementing an annual goal-oriented fundraising plan to secure sponsors and funding for conferences and workshops, and develop and implement a strategy to grow a small individual giving program while cultivating relationships to promote long-term partnerships. This position supports the creative and innovative use of social media and the RAE website as marketing and outreach tools for fundraising. The Development Manager will report directly to the President and is expected to work collaboratively with RAE staff and interact with the Board of Directors on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the environment, willingness to travel and meet with prospective funders, and the ability to clearly and passionately share RAE’s story, vision, and funding needs. Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE) is the country’s leading 501(c)(3) conservation organization dedicated to preserving the nation’s network of estuaries by protecting and restoring the lands and waters essential to the richness and diversity of coastal life. Restore America’s Estuaries is a national alliance of ten community-based organizations representing our nation’s greatest estuaries. We have a small staff of highly motivated and dedicated individuals. Our signature activities include a National Summit (biennial), annual program themed workshops, on-the-ground Community-based Restoration Program, National Estuaries Week, Blue Carbon program, among others.
