WIND has acquired a significant stake in UK-based Tricore, further expanding the Group's capabilities and strengthening its position as a global service partner across the entire cable lifecycle. Tricore is recognized for its specialist expertise across cable testing and termination, fault finding and repair, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and technical project support, alongside its digital capabilities, including digital twinning and software solutions. The company supports complex cable and energy projects with highly skilled personnel, engineered solutions and technology designed to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and project execution.

By combining Tricore’s expertise with the capabilities already present within the WIND Group, clients will benefit from an even broader range of integrated services, bridging the gap between cable manufacturers, installation contractors, developers, and transmission system operators.

Tom Nooij, CEO of WIND, commented: “Welcome to the WIND Group, Tricore! WIND is continuously strengthening our lifecycle service capabilities and making life easier for our clients. This investment in Tricore responds directly to a growing demand from our clients for more integrated solutions through a single partner. By adding Tricore’s expertise to the Group, we further enhance our ability to keep cable on the move—supporting cable suppliers, installation contractors, developers and TSOs with one seamless service offering. Tricore’s hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial spirit are a perfect fit with the culture of WIND, and I am very much looking forward to working together with the team.”

Paul Bass, Managing Director of Tricore, added: “Joining forces with WIND represents a significant milestone for Tricore and an exciting opportunity for our people, clients and partners. We have built Tricore around a practical, entrepreneurial approach to solving complex project challenges, and we see exactly the same mindset within WIND. By combining our expertise and services with the broader capabilities within the WIND Group, we are bringing together specialist knowledge, experience and innovation. This will allow us to develop new and integrated solutions that make projects safer, more efficient and easier to deliver, while creating even greater value for our clients across the offshore and energy markets.”

Together, WIND and Tricore are building a stronger platform to support the energy transition—from factory to final connection.
