ChartWorld has announced that its well-established ECDIS, eGlobe G2, has successfully obtained additional type approval from the Chinese Classification Society (CCS). This significant achievement places ChartWorld among the select few suppliers to secure this certification, further underscoring the global acceptance and reliability of its eGlobe product.

Ralf Lehnert, Director of Maritime Solutions at ChartWorld, expressed his satisfaction with this accomplishment, stating, “It is a pleasure to see the successful collaboration and acceptance with the CCS officials and that we managed to get our product certified for ships under CCS. This approval reflects the maturity of our product and our commitment to serving our clients who specifically asked for the certification. We appreciate the professional partnership with CCS, as they share the same commitment to quality and customer orientation.”

The CCS certification, in addition to the existing DNV-type approval, is a testament to the robustness and reliability of the eGlobe G2, meeting the rigorous standards required for maritime navigation and safety. This approval will enable ChartWorld to expand its market presence in China and offer its advanced navigation solutions to a broader range of customers.

“We are confident in continuing this collaboration in the not-too-distant future for the S-100 ECDIS product generation,” Lehnert added.
