Chesapeake Technology, the makers of sonar data-acquisition and post-processing software launched a new version of SonarWiz at Ocean Business in April. It's their biggest release since 2010. This new SonarWiz version will include backscatter for bathymetry data and an advanced suite of gridding options for polishing good data and rescuing data collected under less-than-perfect conditions with strong support for interferometers, AUVs and other swath systems. The updates aren't only centered around bathymetry, Chesapeake is also adding hardware configuration for all data types via the Vessel Editor for more precise processing, plus independent dual channel bottom tracking for sidescan. Last but not least, SonarWiz will have a fresh new look.
