Cody Warner, Vice President, Commercial, describes how the expansion supports this growing demand for underwater ROVs: “The expansion of our facility has allowed us to create efficiency across our processes, enabling us to have capacity to deliver larger contracts in shorter timelines.

“Deep Trekker’s growth includes contracts with larger entities that require ROVs by the dozens or even hundreds, and with our expanded facility and increased team size, we are able to deliver reliably on these types of contracts.”

Current growth spans aquaculture, marine science, infrastructure, shipping, port security, defense, public safety, energy, and commercial diving markets.

Chad Plesa-Naden, Engineering Director at Deep Trekker, explained what the new space means for the team: “Over the past ten years, we’ve moved through three buildings and grown more than tenfold, each move driven by the growth needed to meet our customers’ needs. What excites me most about this space is what it lets our team do. With expanded in-house engineering, R&D, and test areas, we can design, test, and refine vehicles more quickly than ever, which means better products in our customers’ hands sooner.”

Expanded manufacturing and production areas will allows Deep Trekker to keep pace with orders across its full product lineup, including the DTG3, PHOTON, PIVOT, REVOLUTION, and SPECTRA ROVs, the MAG, VAC, and VAC MAX utility crawlers, and the A-200 and A-150 pipe crawlers. Additional engineering space supports the product development, while larger service, sales, and customer support areas will help the company respond quickly as more of vehicles go into the field.

“This expansion lets us grow within our operating model, not just around it,” says Colin Vander Glas, Operations Director at Deep Trekker. “By redesigning how work moves through our facility and strengthening the processes and systems behind it, we can scale with confidence and keep pace with our customers’ expectations as our product line grows.”
