ELWIND Inks Contract for Water Quality Research in the Estonian Offshore Wind Farm Area

ELWIND has entered into an agreement with Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) to carry out water quality research in the Estonian offshore wind farm area.

Water quality indicators will be measured during two different time periods in two water layers through continuous monitoring:

  • During the non-stratified period
  • During the stratified period

The aim is to identify water quality indicators through autonomous continuous monitoring, which will serve as input for:

  • Determining the state of the aquatic environment
  • Future modeling of water quality changes to assess potential impacts

The research will be conducted over a period of 1.5 years.
