Rutter Inc. has delivered their sigma S6 Oil Spill Detection to a port in Saudi Arabia. Rutter’s system will be fully integrated by the port’s Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) provider to add environmental protection capabilities to their traffic management system. Rutter’s technology is currently being integrated into the system, with full deployment in 2018.
“This order represents a forward-thinking mentality towards the detection and clean-up of oil spills,” said Fraser Edison, President and CEO of Rutter. “Integrating our systems into existing port monitoring systems ensure minimization of the impact of spills on the environment in heavily trafficked areas at a low cost point.”
