ConocoPhillips and Ducks Unlimited Share Conservation Commitment

Pictured from left to right are: Ducks Unlimited volunteers Rusty Legg and Bill Ansell; ConocoPhillips Chairman and CEO Ryan Lance and Phil Precht, director-Coastal Wetlands; and DU volunteer Jim Grant.

Representatives of Ducks Unlimited visited ConocoPhillips headquarters recently to meet with Chairman and CEO Ryan Lance to deliver the inaugural Ducks Unlimited Corporate Conservation Achievement Award.

The award was created to recognize corporations from the United States, Canada or Mexico that have made exceptional contributions to conservation in North America, and specifically recognizes ConocoPhillips for its Louisiana wetlands restoration projects. In addition to the Ducks Unlimited-ConocoPhillips Coastal Restoration Partnership, ConocoPhillips has provided significant philanthropic support to DU dating back to 1990 and has supported conservation efforts in the Central Flyway through the Playa Lakes Joint Venture for many years. ConocoPhillips’ commitment to conservation across North America provides waterfowl habitat, infrastructure protection, water quality enhancement and community resilience on a grand scale.
