USCG Proposes Amending Commercial Diving Regulations

The Coast Guard is seeking comments by 20 May 2015 on its proposal to amend regulations for commercial diving conducted in connection with Outer Continental Shelf activities, from vessels required to have a Coast Guard inspection certificate, or from deepwater portshr id="system-readmore" /ort safety zones.

As part of the proposed rule, comments are also sought on a new proposed information collection that would include reporting and recordkeeping requirements pertaining to operations manual updates, log book maintenance and periodic updates, examination score and certification reporting and storing, and equipment inspection record maintenance.
