Driving Development of Ocean-Based Carbon Removal Technologies

The Advancing Ocean CDR Summit, taking place July 9–11, 2024, will unite carbon removal experts, policymakers, and business leaders to explore and advance ocean-based solutions for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Building on the huge momentum of the carbon dioxide removal (CDR) industry, this summit will be a platform for collaboration and strategy-lead discussions as we tackle the critical challenge of climate change.

“The Advancing Ocean CDR Summit will bring together some of the leading thinkers from sectors that will be critical to scaling up ocean-based CDR, and ensuring that it’s done in a responsible manner,” said Wil Burns, Co-Director, Institute for Responsible Carbon Removal.

The summit will feature presentations from leading experts in ocean science, engineering, and policy including Running Tide, Ebb Carbon, and the Department of Energy. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in ocean CDR technologies, explore the potential of these solutions, and network with key decision-makers in the field.
