This important symposium on the species lionfish which has invaded the GOM is specific to the Commercial Diver.
“This topic is very important to the working diver as they are tasked to do their jobs in and around the lionfish habitat,” said DSWG Executive Board Member Jeffrey Theriot. “Many operators in the Gulf of Mexico contract Commercial Divers on a routine basis and their safety is our highest priority.”
The focal points of the symposium and panel discussion will include information, education, prevention, treatment and most importantly mitigation measures to protect the commercial diver working in and around Lionfish.
The DSWG is a non-competitive, non-commercial focused group that provides a unified voice to promote and improve diver safety.
