NC Wind Energy Area Environmental Assessment Available for Comment

NC Wind Energy Area Environmental Assessment Available for Comment Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Director Abigail Hopper have announced the release of an Environmental Assessment (EA) supporting a potential lease sale for more than 300,000 acres of federal waters off the coast of North Carolina for wind energy development.

The EA is available for a 30-day comment period, which ends on 23 February 2015. To submit comments, visit BOEM’s website at: www.boem.gov/About-BOEM/Public-Engagement/Public-Engagement-Opportunities.aspx (click on the “Open Comment Documents” link).
